CHCNAV GNSS receivers with iSTAR firmware now can track and use all the 5 satellite constellations with optimal performance

A NEW LEAP FORWARD IN RTK RELIABILITY AND AVAILABILITY

 

Shanghai, China - May 12, 2021 - CHC Navigation (CHCNAV) announces the availability of iSTAR GNSS RTK technology, the newest GNSS PVT (Position, Velocity, Time) algorithm for CHC Navigation's GNSS RTK receivers. The iSTAR firmware allows to track and use the 5 main satellite constellations (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BDS or BeiDou system, QZSS) and their 16 frequencies with optimal performance.

 

Moreover, thanks to the added BDS III and QZSS signal capabilities, iStar provides significant improvements in GNSS RTK time-to-fix, fix rates and accuracy in all surveying applications especially in harsh environments.

 

 

What exact benefits can this innovation bring to the CHCNAV’s users? Here are the most important ones:

 

  • Efficiency  - GNSS RTK fix rate increased by 20% in complex environments such as urban areas.

 

  • Speed – RTK time to fix is reduced by 30-40% under challenging environments and GNSS survey productivity under tree canopy is improved.

 

  • Reliability - Enhanced ability to reject RTK positioning errors under the canopy: errors > 50 cm can be eliminated and accuracy better than 10 cm increased by 15 %.

 

 

iStar technology is compatible with all i90 GNSS, i73 GNSS, i50 GNSS, and iBase GNSS receivers available through the global CHCNAV distributor network.
